Disputes
We measure servers from the outside, without permission — so every operator gets three standing rights, free, customer or not. This page is the process and its public ledger.
Your three rights
- Free self-view. Everything we hold about your server is public at /s/<your-name> — the probes, the verdict, the reasoning, the history. No account, no fee, same view we give everyone. Money cannot buy a different view.
- Dispute. Challenge any factual record: wrong attribution (that endpoint isn't ours), stale probe (we moved), misclassification (we're not a gateway), disputed truth verdict. File via the submissions form (kind: dispute / right of reply) with the server name and what's wrong. We re-probe and re-derive — target seven days — and publish the resolution here whichever way it goes. If we were wrong, it also enters the append-only corrections ledger.
- Right of reply. No finding that names an operator is published without a served, 7-day right-of-reply window; replies are published verbatim alongside the observation.
What cannot be disputed here
The method itself — probe cadence, grading, the question ladder — is documented at /method and applied uniformly; methodology feedback is welcome through the same form but is a proposal, not a dispute. And no path exists — dispute, submission, or payment — by which an operator improves a verdict except by the server itself improving: subject money never touches the verdict.
The ledger
No disputes received yet — the channel opened 2026-08-16. An empty ledger is a dated observation, not a claim of infallibility: the corrections ledger shows what we have already gotten wrong on our own.
